October contracts · Wallet trials
Meet October Cow.
Connect your wallet, choose reviewed assets and check a trial plan. The Thetanuts wallet pilot supports reviewed Base assets, up to 500 USDC estimated value per position and per session.
Your price and date.
Cow follows a short-option inventory curve: it buys as price falls and sells as it rises. The price you choose is the strike, in quote tokens per base token. It is not a promise to exchange the whole deposit at that price. Actual fills determine the assets you hold.
Start small. Widen when needed.
Each normal order starts at your configured spacing. If it is too small, the contract tries twice, four times, then eight times that spacing. Buy and sell sides choose independently. A price outside your bounds stops the search. If no step produces an order, that side waits.
For example: 25 → 50 → 100 → 200 bps, or 5 → 10 → 20 → 40 bps. Every preview starts over at the first step. The configured starting spacing and price bounds stay fixed.
Startup uses only the starting spacing. Final-hour orders use the strike and allow partial fills. Available orders still need a solver fill. The order card shows the executable limit from its exact token amounts; starting-grid diagnostics are labelled separately.
The default minimum is $1 equivalent, independently configurable by chain and editable in Advanced. It is an order-size filter, not a guaranteed economic fill threshold. Compare startup and later order sizes before choosing a date.
Close, then recover what remains.
Closing stops trading and attempts each token payout and protocol fee. A successful receipt does not prove that every step completed. The app rereads balances, approvals and fee records.
Recover either token independently with Withdraw. This starts closing if needed and leaves unpaid protocol fees reserved. After closing, anyone can trigger fee assessment or payment. An unassessed fee of zero means the liability is unknown.
The first close freezes the fee rate and protocol recipient. Each token is assessed once. Gains after assessment are not charged again; outstanding fees remain reserved. There is no fixed exit gas floor. Normal estimation and an optional manual gas limit are available.
Six chains. One generation.
October is deployed on Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, Avalanche and BNB Chain. Herd uses the October factory only. Use the deprecated Cow app for September positions.
What is connected?
Contract reads, wallet connection, configuration checks, order history and owner recovery are wired. The Thetanuts wallet pilot supports reviewed Base assets, up to 500 USDC estimated value per position and per session. Unlock your wallet, then use Place position to approve the exact deposits and create. Each transaction still asks for confirmation. New approvals and creation require current token reviews, matching contract code, an available October order service and a successful transaction check. Rebasing tokens are not admitted.
The independent October service discovers positions and posts their contract-authorized orders. Position discovery uses its saved index, then reads the remaining blocks directly. Chain reads remain available if the index is delayed.
The existing shared asset and token-information services do not establish October position coverage. Sample mode uses fictional data and sends no transactions.
